Putra Square at the centre of the administrative capital, where the pink-domed mosque faces the Prime Minister's office across the lakefront

The dome is pink granite and the mosque seems to float on its artificial lake. Borrow a free burgundy robe at the entrance and you can look down into the prayer hall under the soaring dome. Outside, across the huge Putra Square, the green-domed Prime Minister's office faces you. If you have time, take a lake cruise to see the bridges and government buildings from the water.
