The hotel faces the Moorish-style old railway station and has about 300 rooms in two buildings: the 1930s Majestic Wing and a newer Tower Wing. The Tea Lounge hangs blue-and-white plates and sepia photos of old Kuala Lumpur on its walls, with a pianist playing through the afternoon. Some sandwiches carry local fillings such as sambal ikan bilis. People book it for the atmosphere more than the rooms.
