Hours

Spring/autumn weekdays: ropeway 9:30am–4:45pm up (last down 5:15pm), garden 10am–5pm. Weekends/holidays: last up 8:15pm, last down 9pm. Summer and Christmas season differ (official schedule Mar 2026–Mar 2027)

Return incl. garden entry: adults ¥2,500, ages 6–15 ¥1,250; one-way ¥1,900 / ¥950; night return ¥2,000 / ¥1,200; preschoolers free (fares from 1 Apr 2026)

Board the ropeway right behind Shin-Kobe Station and in a little over ten minutes you're at the hilltop plaza, with a European-style restaurant and a viewing deck. The usual plan is to wander down from there through lavender and rosemary beds and glasshouses, then catch the ropeway again at the midway station, so it's downhill all the way. Out of the gondola window you pass Nunobiki Falls and the reservoir before the city and the sea open up. Weekend nights in spring and autumn, summer, and the Christmas season bring night runs, turning it into a night-view ride.
