Address
5-minute ferry from Gushan Ferry Pier (No. 1 Binhai 2nd Road) to the Cijin pier

From Gushan pier the ferry threads between container ships and lands you on the island five minutes later. A seafood street starts right at the pier, where you point at prawns and clams in the tanks and they are fried to order. Climb the hill at the end and you reach the white Cihou Lighthouse and an old fort, looking down on big ships squeezing through the harbour mouth. On the other side a long dark-sand beach runs south, and most people rent bikes or little electric carts to cruise the shore road.
