Step off the ferry into Kadıköy's market lanes, past fishmongers and cheese shops, and you'll find two or three 'Çiya' signs on one street. Sofrası is the one serving home-style and old palace dishes: owner Musa Dağdeviren collects vanishing recipes from across Anatolia and rotates them with the seasons. Since Netflix's Chef's Table, plenty of foreigners come too. A two-person plate of muşmula dolması, medlars stuffed with spiced lamb, cost 1,800 lira in August 2026.
