A steam locomotive pushes the carriages from the lakeside village toward the summit, and Lake Brienz shrinks below you for about an hour. The top has a restaurant and viewing trails, and on a clear day you see the lake and the Bernese Alps in one frame. Seats are limited, so queues form in peak season.
