Boats leave Kewalo Basin, just west of Ala Moana Center, for 'Turtle Canyon' off Waikiki

Half-day boat trips run out to 'Turtle Canyon' off Waikiki, a reef where green sea turtles hang out, for a snorkel among them. Typical packages include hotel pickup, life vests and gear, and snacks such as musubi on deck. Even non-swimmers can float in a vest behind the guide and watch turtles glide past below. On rough days, though, seasickness hits hard and some groups see only a few turtles.
