Opened in 1901 as the Moana Hotel, it was Waikiki's first hotel and still goes by 'First Lady of Waikiki'. Behind the white-columned colonial Banyan Wing sits a courtyard shaded by a huge banyan, with the beach straight ahead. Rooms are split between the historic Banyan Wing, the Surfrider Wing and the Tower Wing, and they differ a lot in size and feel. A room renovation was reported finished for the 125th anniversary in 2026.
