This is working-class Hong Kong rather than a sight. Apliu Street is lined with stalls of second-hand phones, cables, film cameras and old wristwatches, and a few blocks over are lanes given over to ribbons, buttons and leather, plus a fabric market. Vintage shops and small cafés have been opening on the ground floors of old buildings, so younger travellers now come for photos too. In 2023 the old fabric bazaar moved to Tung Chau Street.
