Opened in 2021 on reclaimed harbourfront, M+ is a long, low slab with a thin tower standing on top. The paid galleries hold Asian contemporary art, design and architecture, but even if art isn't your thing you can wander the grand stair, the basement Found Space and the roof garden for free. Up on the roof, Hong Kong Island's towers are straight across the water. After dark the whole harbour-facing facade turns into a giant screen.
