After dark, canvas stalls light up along both sides of the narrow street and souvenirs, T-shirts and gadgets spill into the middle. Toward one end, dai pai dong cooks set plastic stools out on the road and fry clams and crab, and a few fortune-tellers' tents sit in the side lane. The goods overlap a lot with other markets, but people come for the scene: red signs, wok clatter and crowds that look like a still from a Hong Kong film.
