Address
The Bach Dang riverfront on the old town's south side; jetties line the bank from the An Hoi bridge to the central market

After dark the water in front of the old town (the Hoai, a branch of the Thu Bon) fills with lantern-hung wooden boats. A rower takes you on a loop of about 20 minutes, up towards the Japanese Bridge and back, and somewhere along the way you light a paper lantern, make a wish and set it on the water. The real view is the shop lights from both banks wobbling on the river. It's the standard way to close a Hoi An evening.
