Đình Minh Hương

A quiet 18th-century hall of Ming-era settlers

Entry with the old-town ticket
Address
14 Tran Phu St, Hoi An

Sitting right on Tran Phu St, this small hall somehow dodges the tour-group stream. It is said to have been founded in the 18th century by descendants of Minh Huong settlers who stayed in Hoi An after the fall of the Ming dynasty. Past the courtyard you move through dark timber columns, altars and gilded Chinese-character plaques. A good 20 to 30 minutes of quiet in a busy old town.
