Down an alley off Pasteur and up a worn staircase, a whole floor of a 1960s apartment block is a café. Old furniture and knick-knacks are scattered about, and the balcony looks over the tangled wires of the alley. Espresso drinks and Vietnamese coffee are both served. You're in the middle of downtown, yet the noise drops a layer.
