10–15 minutes' walk southwest of Ben Thanh Market, behind the Saigon bus terminal at 23/9 Park

After 9pm the bars on both sides turn their speakers to the street and try to out-blast each other. Grab a low plastic stool outside, order a beer, and you're in. Touts, fire-twirlers and live bands make it loud and chaotic, which is exactly why people come. In the live-music bars a song request with a tip will usually get played. By day it's just a narrow, unremarkable street.
