A bus-sized two-storey cabin leaves Bai Chay beach and crosses about 2.2 km over Cua Luc Bay to Ba Deo hill on the far side. Its 230-passenger cabins and 188.88-metre tower earned Guinness records in 2016. The ride lasts about five minutes: Bai Chay Bridge and the city on one side, island-dotted Ha Long Bay on the other. At the top you step straight into the hilltop park with the Sun Wheel and a Japanese garden, so most people treat them as one outing. The favourite plan is to ride up around sunset and come back down after dark.
