Runs along Ha Long Road in front of the Bai Chay hotel strip, with Sun World at the east end

A long strip of imported sand facing the Bai Chay hotels, built as an artificial beach. By day Vietnamese families bob about in rubber rings; around sunset the promenade fills as the sun drops behind the island silhouettes. Walk east and you reach the Sun World cable car station and the cruise port, with seafood restaurants lining the road behind the sand. It isn't somewhere to travel for, but it's a good neighbourhood beach for a walk after your cruise and before dinner.
