The garden stops you before the pottery does. Maples line a thick carpet of moss, a stream murmurs along the path, and a tea house sits at the far end. The exhibition hall holds Japanese and Chinese ceramics; most people do the hall first, then wander the garden slowly. In autumn red leaves land on the green moss, which is when it looks its best.
