Through the gate, a pond and garden lead to Venetian-style buildings, with arches and trees hung with crystal beads that flash in the sun; on clear days the Owakudani hills rise behind. Inside are dense cases of Venetian glass from the 15th to 19th centuries, plus a separate modern-glass gallery. It turned 30 in 2026, with an anniversary show on until 11 January 2027. In autumn the maples and the glass light up together.
