Around sunset on Wednesdays, charcoal smoke fills the lanes of this waterfront village in Hagåtña. Stalls pile up skewers, red rice, coconut crab and other Chamorro food, and in the central court locals dance to a live band. The rest of the week it's a sleepy crafts arcade; on Wednesday night it turns into a market, sometimes with more local families than tourists.
