It opened with Canal City Hakata in 1996, so the mall is a few steps from the lobby. On a rainy day you can eat, shop and catch the fountain show without an umbrella. The Nakasu riverside yatai and Kushida Shrine are walkable. Guests keep mentioning the pool, the breakfast and the birthday-cake touches. It was refreshed in 2017, but the building is nearly 30 years old.
