From the outside it is a square grain store, yet every niche in its walls holds a statue ordered by one of the city's guilds. Look up from the street and you find bronzes by Ghiberti and Verrocchio above the traffic noise. Inside, Orcagna's marble tabernacle fills the dim hall. The visit is short, a good ten-minute stop while walking down Via dei Calzaiuoli.
