The big red sandstone block at the west end of Princes Street is the 'Caley'. It was built in 1903 as the Caledonian Railway's station hotel, and the old station concourse is now the lobby and dining space. It flew the Waldorf Astoria flag for years and now trades as part of Hilton's Curio Collection. Castle-side rooms show the ramparts from the bed.
