If the Old Town belongs to visitors, Gruž is where Dubrovnik shops. Under the harbourside roof, stalls lay out figs, cherries, dried figs, honey, lavender bags and homemade liqueurs; next door the fish section takes the morning catch off boats from the Elafiti islands. Great if your room has a kitchen; if not, a bag of fruit and a harbour stroll make breakfast.
