A Pakistani restaurant in the Satwa lanes, open since 1978. In the no-frills room office workers, labourers and tourists sit a table apart. Order mutton karahi (lamb in a tomato-chilli wok sauce), butter chicken, chicken tikka and dal fry, then tear into naan straight from the tandoor. AED 30-50 a head is enough, and they will make it hotter if you ask. Al Mallah is five minutes' walk away, so many people do Satwa as a two-stop evening.
