The 63-storey tower on the edge of the Dubai Fountain lake, facing the Burj Khalifa. Emaar opened it as an Address hotel in 2008; after a fire on New Year's Eve 2015 it was refitted and reopened. A short bridge by the lobby drops you straight into Dubai Mall, so it's a favourite for stopovers where the fountain, the Burj and the shops all need to happen on foot. Several Address hotels have similar names, so make sure you're booking 'Downtown'.
