Down a few steps you find a low-ceilinged cellar room with white tablecloths. The official site says it has served Danish lunch since 1877, through five generations. The menu is open-faced smørrebrød: herring, plaice, smoked fish, shrimp, beef tartare, plus a long list of Danish snaps. It is a lunch-only place, so evenings find the door shut.
