An old building and a glass extension join to form the gallery. You walk from Danish Golden Age painting to the Matisse collection and contemporary installations. The modern rooms invite you to sit and stay longer. Wednesdays it stays open until 8pm, useful when the day has run out. The ground-floor cafe is a good place to rest.
