A tall red CHICAGO sign stands over State Street, and it is the shot everybody wants. The theatre opened in 1921 as a movie palace and now hosts concerts and shows. Under the arched front and the lit marquee, someone is always lining up a photo. On non-show days a guided tour takes you up the gilded lobby stairs and into the auditorium.
