Push through an iron gate by the north moat and you're in a roofed yard packed with wooden tables. Khun Yai means grandma, and with no food photos out front it's easy to walk past. The khao soi comes with a whole chicken drumstick in a thick coconut curry broth that reviewers say stays light rather than greasy. It opens at 10 and shuts at 14, so a lie-in means missing it.
