Turrets and walls rise from a hill like a medieval castle. Simala is a monastery church where pilgrims queue to ask for miracles, and inside people kneel and pin their wishes to the walls. It is far from Cebu City but sits on the road to Oslob and Kawasan Falls, so it fits into a southern day.
