It started as a small dairy shop near Al-Hussein Mosque in 1917 and now has around twenty branches across Cairo. The signatures are hot om ali (pastry baked in milk with nuts) and cold rice pudding, plus towering sundaes of ice cream, nuts and honey. This branch sits on Faisal Street, the road out to the pyramids, so it fits before or after Giza.
