Address
Two old houses built against the wall of the Ibn Tulun Mosque

A British army doctor joined two decaying houses together in the 1930s and filled them with his collection. Each room has its own mood, named for Persia, Damascus and so on. Behind the carved mashrabiya screens you can look down into the hall below, and there is a small room tucked inside a wall. It also doubled as a location for the Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me.
