A big temple at the foot of Mt. Yeongchuksan in Yangsan, said to enshrine relics of the Buddha. The walk in along the Mupung Hansongro pine path is half the pleasure. The main hall holds no Buddha statue; the relics sit on the Geumgang Altar behind it. It joined the UNESCO list in 2018 as one of Korea's mountain monasteries. The grounds are wide, so allow an hour and a half.
