It is called an island, but these days it is joined to the mainland. From the west end of Haeundae beach, the loop through pine and camellia woods takes 30 to 40 minutes. At the tip stands Nurimaru, where the 2005 APEC summit was held, with a mermaid statue at the water. Round the far side, Gwangandaegyo bridge and the Marine City towers fit into a single frame.
