The Gresham Palace was built in 1906 as an insurance company's headquarters, and the Art Nouveau building is now a 179-room hotel. The Chain Bridge starts at the front door and Buda Castle fills the windows across the river. Plenty of people wander in just for the peacock-patterned iron gates and the glass-roofed lobby. The health club and an infinity-edge lap pool take up the top floor, and its Trip.com score is about as high as Budapest luxury hotels get.
