Wedged onto a narrow street corner is a building crammed with mosaic columns and sculpture. Lluís Domènech i Montaner, often described as one of Gaudí's teachers, built it in 1908 for the Orfeó Català choir, and it is the only concert hall on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Inside the auditorium a bell-shaped stained-glass skylight hangs from the ceiling and glows gold and blue in daylight, while half-sculpted muses with instruments burst out of the wall behind the stage. Go in on a tour of about 50 minutes by day, or with a concert ticket at night.
