Address
Start at Pla de la Seu in front of the cathedral; the quarter fills the old-town lanes between La Rambla and Via Laietana

Step one block off La Rambla and you are in a knot of shady stone lanes. The usual loop starts at the square in front of the cathedral, passes under the Pont del Bisbe on Carrer del Bisbe (it looks medieval but dates from 1928), then on to Plaça del Rei and Plaça de Sant Felip Neri. Thirteen white geese patrol the pond in the cathedral cloister, one for each year of Saint Eulalia's life. Under Plaça del Rei, the city history museum (MUHBA) takes you down by lift to walk the streets and wine presses of Roman Barcino.
