This was Gaudí's first major commission. The street wall is a chessboard of yellow-flower tiles and striped ceramics, and the roofline bristles with little Moorish-style turrets. Inside, ceilings are painted with palm leaves and flowers, and the smoking room has a honeycomb vault straight out of Islamic architecture. The roof terrace looks over the Gràcia rooftops. It is far calmer than Casa Batlló.
