A narrow lane one block off La Rambla. It began in 1786 as a sweets shop and is now described as the oldest restaurant in Catalonia. Tiled walls, low ceilings and a few floors of dining rooms feel like an old family house. The kitchen sends out escudella, cannelloni and veal fricandó, the kind of food a grandmother would make. A set lunch menu is on offer.
