A roastery-café on a narrow lane behind Santa Maria del Mar. The smell of roasting beans reaches you before the door closes, and the back wall is stacked with sacks and bags from different origins. There are only a few seats, so plenty of people drink standing at the bar. The business dates to 1919 and now roasts specialty beans on site, a name that comes up in almost every Barcelona coffee conversation. Many leave with a bag of whatever they just drank.
