There is a lake in the middle of the tower blocks and a loop path that never stops moving. Monitor lizards well over a metre long amble across lawns and along the water, and more people stop to photograph them than flinch. Groups do tai chi around sunrise, and in the evening the path fills with joggers. A bench in the shade for half an hour is the best fix for Bangkok heat.
