Terraced paddies are cut into both sides of a valley and step down between coconut palms. They are watered by subak, the Balinese irrigation system that has run for over a thousand years, and 'Eat Pray Love' made them famous. Past the ticket booth you can follow the earthen dikes down to the valley floor and climb the other side. Along the top are cafés overlooking the terraces, swings, zip lines and bird's-nest photo frames.
