At sunset Jimbaran Beach fills with tables and candles on the sand, and Menega is usually the first of them to fill up. Pick fish, prawns, squid, clams or lobster from the display at the entrance, they weigh it, and it goes over charcoal before coming out to your table with rice, water spinach and sambal. Grilling takes a while, so buy a cob of grilled corn from a beach cart to tide you over.
