The former Langham under a new name, a big hotel with 642 rooms. Lowest rates on our dates ran NZD 219–499, the cheapest five-star on this list. The pool and spa are the draw: a business traveller called the hot pool genuinely hot, and there are separate dry and wet saunas. A couple who spent the last four nights of a February 2026 honeymoon here got early check-in and an upgrade to a suite with a living room. The catch is the location, up the hill about 20 minutes' walk from the centre.
