Marble figures carved on the Aegean islands around 3000 BC stand in glass cases, arms folded, faces blank except for a nose. That plainness is what caught Modigliani and Picasso. The museum is small enough to finish in about an hour, and a short walk from the Benaki, so the two pair well.
