Even the forecourt has a glass floor, so you walk over the lanes and house foundations of an old Athenian neighbourhood. On the first floor five of the original Caryatids stand in a row, which lands differently after seeing the copies up on the hill. The top floor is a glass gallery turned to match the Parthenon's angle, with the temple's frieze hung in its real sequence. The actual Parthenon sits outside the windows, and the gaps where the London marbles should be are filled with stark white plaster casts.
