Climb the floors and you follow his life in order. It starts dark and earthy with The Potato Eaters, brightens in Paris, then explodes into yellow in the south of France. In front of Sunflowers everyone goes quiet and raises a phone. By the time you reach the wheatfield with crows on the top floor, plenty of people say they needed a minute. A multimedia guide reads from his letters as you go.
