On the south bank of the Grand Canal, by the Ca' Rezzonico stop

A baroque palace on the Grand Canal fitted out as an 18th-century noble Venetian home. Climb the stairs to rooms where Tiepolo painted gods and clouds on the ceiling, with huge Murano chandeliers hanging in room after room. The furniture, mirrors and even the pharmacy jars are period pieces, so it feels like touring someone's house rather than a museum. Upstairs, the Guardi and Canaletto views make you stand a while.
