The fifteenth-century palace of Doge Andrea Gritti, sitting right on the Grand Canal. From the terrace restaurant over the water, the Salute church fills the view across the canal while gondolas and water buses slide past. Rooms are dressed in Murano glass chandeliers and Venetian fabrics, so it really does feel like sleeping in a palace. St Mark's Square is a 7-8 minute walk.
